1986 Trac Clipper pedals turning but engine not turning

I recently got out my Trac moped and it started fine. When I pushed it forward off the stand I heard a snap and the engine cut off. When I go to kick it over the pedals and chain turn the rear wheel but the engine doesn’t kick over. Anybody know how difficult this is going to be to fix?

Thank you!! (edited)

Intake manifold is nice. So ive never had a trac so is there a lever for the starter clutch or is it auto start clutches.

Cracked engagement gear? Looks like a crappy deaign.

Dude, no worry at all, you just switched it to pedal mode

looks like your lever there is broken but still enough to grab it, it's the little tab above the right side pedal shaft on top of the engine, turn that and it should re-engage your pedals.
