Magura throttle help.

Anyone familiar with this throttle... I've got a Magura throttle on my moped and the throttle sleeve wont stay attached...seeks like there should be a cable housing holding the twist to the lever perch...can't find even a pic of it. How the heck does the twist tube attach? (edited)

Re: Magura throttle help.

Put the tube in the base BEFORE sliding it on the handlebar.

Re: Magura throttle help.

^ That's your answer. Its designed to stay together when installed as a complete unit, not piece by piece.

Re: Magura throttle help.

As others said I've taken it off the bar and put the 2 (twist &perch) plastic to cast as far as possible, slide will still pull out of perch you can see the cable has nothing to keep it in the slide.

You need a new throttle tube. #4. (edited)

Or , trim the broken cable strands clean .

Then , push the barrel cable end into its intended seat and drive a small screw into the tube body , parallel to the cable route , directly over the barrel to hold it down into its seat .

Re: Magura throttle help.

Barrel looks small and your grip locks it into place.

Re: Magura throttle help.

Without a grip it's going to slide out. Your throttle tube looks a bit buggered up too. Your throttle cable is definitely in need of replacement as well.

It requires a special grip ???

Grips never have anything to do with cable retention , in my experience .
