So I came up with a way to stop my swinging engine from variating at any point in the range,
A way that never can downshift (only a launch lever can do that..), but only stops variation at some point until you release the lever. I wondered how cool it would be to use, compared to a foot lever.
Might be very neat to use at top speeds.
So here we go.
Gonna use a piece of flat steel bar, and a bicycle disc brake caliper.
Steel bar will slide thru the caliper during variation (being attached to the swinging engine) , and can be locked at any point by squeezing the lever. I even think one could slightly slow variation by partially depressing the brake lever in a controlled fashion.
This sounds pretty cool to me, I've only seen one guy do a dual throttle style launch lever that pulled an engine up into full variation, was pretty cool.
But this is different.
Kinda psyched to try it
