Re: Hand brake launch lever kinda

Whitey kitty passed yesterday.

God speed ol boy.

But sadly the bike I want to do this on needs a replacement

1 3/4 ball joint, so they just got ordered.

After it runs again I'll do this thing.

Well, I could try it on my 50cc Moby.

That's running ok.

But there's a lot less room on the Moby compared to the Mintho.

Re: Hand brake launch lever kinda

Real sorry to hear about Whitey Cat

RIP whitey cat :'(

Re: Hand brake launch lever kinda

Ok, fuck it.

I'm going to try to make something today with the Moby.

Might make it easy and attach it to the launch lever away from the bottom of the engine to have better access.

Re: Hand brake launch lever kinda

Well, that was the easiest thing ever.

Now to test.

Bar is aluminum for now, will switch to steel if it works goodly

Now it all makes even more sense.

I'm liking this idea

Re: Hand brake launch lever kinda

Ready?

MUHAHAHAHAHAHA

MUUUHAHAGAGA

amazing bro.

You can downshift and lock it in place so you don't have to fool with your foot on mountains. I like it in conjunction with a launch lever.

So fun!

You can upshift and lock it if your spring is a touch too strong.

How come none of you idiots came up with this?

You need to smoke more weed.

Re: Hand brake launch lever kinda

Okay makes so much more sense...

Can't wait to hear results

Re: Hand brake launch lever kinda

Well shit!

Re: Hand brake launch lever kinda

Aluminum works better with friction material.

Re: Hand brake launch lever kinda

Then the aluminum stays.

Doesn't really matter tho, as I'm using a bike hydro setup I had

Ain'tany mountainous destinations to accent around here, the smoking part is going pretty good tho.

Re: Hand brake launch lever kinda

But locking in any "gear" at any point can be really fun.

It gives you absolute control of variation without having to use gross fucking feet.

This is genius. I don't think I have enough spare parts to try anything yet haha.

Got plenty of weed tho. I've definitely thought of "holding it in gear" somehow, but I don't have all the smartz you gotz

Re: Hand brake launch lever kinda

Master D. Baiter /

Pretty cool, is there room to put the lever by the launch?

Re: Hand brake launch lever kinda

Wat

Foot locker!

Dealing with the loss of a pet is one of the hardest things in life and most times lasts for years. I'm sure you gave your best. Best thoughts.

Re: Hand brake launch lever kinda

Scoot, I'm sure you could do anything you dream.

My whole deal with this was to have hand control over variation.

It locks variation with 1 finger.

How fucking cool is that?

Re: Hand brake launch lever kinda

Master D. Baiter /

That is fuckingER cooL dickead!

Re: Hand brake launch lever kinda

On a ride now, and man, I just gotta say.

This is the most fun I've had with a Moby in years.

Coolest thing is that you can see how high your bike really can rev by locking the engine.

It's so much different than having too strong of a spring where it keeps trying to variate and you can get weird bucking.

This makes it like a multi speed bike.

For gods sake somebody else do this.

And I'm an atheist

Re: Hand brake launch lever kinda

Hey JBOT, what belt are you using that is cogged on the outside?

Re: Hand brake launch lever kinda

Most bitchin belt ever.

Dayco top cog. It's fantastic.

Just keeps lasting and lasting.

Running one a bit long cuz I hate when the engine is cramped on swinging engine bikes.

Re: Hand brake launch lever kinda

Jbot... here's the photos of the setup using a puch clutch lever with a brake cable

Re: Hand brake launch lever kinda

Looks like the cable assembly is just designed to pull the engine in to full variation? Really hard to tell what's going on.

Re: Hand brake launch lever kinda

You can actually grab the clutch engagement lever to stop variation similar to a launch lever... sorry the pics are what they are.. I had Jesse send them to me.

Re: Hand brake launch lever kinda

What clutch engagement lever?

On a Moby? Wha?
