I really don't have anything against technology, and I think that we should make all reasonable efforts to reduce our impact on the environment. That said, energy has a cost on the environment. It doesn't matter if it is "clean" energy or not. Recycling generally takes more energy, and causes more environmental impact than new production. That doesn't mean we shouldn't recycle. Producing Lithium batteries is not an environmentally friendly procedure either. Energy has a cost, always has. And we aren't going to go without it... Until it's gone.
