Yes you should at least install it and see how well it works.

But it does look with this Spring's being clockwise and bent the way that they are that it's going to bump against the other shoe when they engage you might want to consider flipping a Springs over so the hooks are pointing up so it has more clearance at the spring at the tip of the pad to the Pivot Point of that pad next to it.

Re: How far you go bro

I already tried it wayne.

It's great. Nothing hits except the POWWHHHHHHHHHHH

But more off is more better. Then I can run weaker springs(edited)

Re: How far you go bro

How much do the pads weigh each right now?

since you have the extra holes there you could probably use weaker Springs just by mounting them where the red lines are instead of where they are now that will give you more spring pressure holding the pad in against the centrifical force than what you have with the current mounting points.

All the way, that’s the way that she goes, and none of their mommas ever seem to know.

Stock Urban clutch springs fit great like that

Re: How far you go bro

Cool stuff

Re: How far you go bro

And the other thing puting the springs in that red pattern of placement puts them directly at a right angle to the pivot pin.

I have a few more urban springs cool.

Much tighter installing the springs this way. Couldn’t poke the wire thru the other holes as well. Wa yu do?

Lots of urban clutch swaps happening, could find a stock one shelved and borrow the springs

I think your close but I would go here too.

Re: How far you go bro

Triple popping! Jesse Stephenson did this on his hobbit a few years back, had a super good clutch stall. Felt like a well tuned scooter clutch, wheelies were inevitable with the ported athena he had on there. Needless to say it was too much ripping and roasted the posts.

Re: How far you go bro

This thread is great

Re: How far you go bro

What's the highest rpm y'all got?

I've never tried a lightened clutch with malossi blacks but I bet that could be a 9k stall.

Standard clutch with MB is 8k I think(edited)

Re: How far you go bro

^i bet that one stalls to 666 rpm

Re: How far you go bro

Joe Schuitema /

Malossi reds with moved spring holes gets me to 7500 rpm. I'd guess the blacks would push it to 9000

this fucking thread has me rolling haha
