Re: I WANT IT SILENT!

That bikes airbox is not setup to be extremely quiet, just to kill off the brutal intake noise. once you make big power it comes with big volume

Re: I WANT IT SILENT!

^even more so if you run big reeds and or high intake timing. Its louder than the exhaust at wot.

alex...(example) if you had a series of plastic screens glued to the inside of the sidewalls of your pvc intake pipe.

the noise would be trapped by each layer & the sound to your ears would be muffled.

the intake needs to bring in the coldest / driest air possible.

Re: I WANT IT SILENT!

just cap that PVC you have got and cross drill an inlet into it, just copy what jbot does, fucking around with washrs and baffles is just shenanigans.

I wonder if Ford's "good neighbor" mode exhaust setting could be adapted to the moped world. I believe it is used on the most recent Mustangs.

Re: I WANT IT SILENT!

do you need ''good neighbor'' moped version?

I definitely do need "good neighbor" mode. Or as the Italians may say sotto voce mode.

holy fuck i cant believe my wife didn't leave me on the spot and pledge herself to the cult of Bot when she met you.

i'm not even sure i want to be with a woman with that poor of judgement any more.(edited)

Re: I WANT IT SILENT!

She did. Shhhhhhh.

She's too good for me tho so I cut her loose.

Re: I WANT IT SILENT!

Instead of vaseline, would an anal lube with benzocaine numb the noise? Or would that only last 10 minutes then you would have to reapply? I'll have to ask my neighbor's goat. I mean my wife. Aw, heck, the goat is prettier, despite both of them saying "naaaaa" all the time.
