Thinking removing the black bumpers on the stater clutch to keep it from grabbing at low rpms/dragging. Any advice. HP
Looks like you'd have to tighten the springs to compensate for the distance lost by removing the bumpers .
If you have spares or other material , you might try down sizing the bumpers .
Or , install stronger springs .
Stronger springs makes it so much more brutal. And you have to pedal super hard. Best to remove them completely.
Get a pull start omg
Fuck starter shoes forever on any bike

Get a pull start and immediately replace the rope with high quality Paracord. Otherwise that shit will break when you need to get home and you have to push it home. The coil spring will still probably uncoil at some point but the Paracord is the most important thing.
ive done it and it was bad, forget what it was but ended up rebuilding it back. take materials off somewhere else...., cluch arms or add stiffer springs there.
One way bearing and ditch the pull. Then ditch the starter shoes.
Haha
no thx.
I'll see your sweaty ass pedaling furiously and it will be really funny

why pedal furiously? seems like it's pretty easy to bump start in this video.
Wait til you have weird starting issues. That's when it sucks shit
A friend had the one way bearing on his bike for a while, I tried it, the engine braking sucks, they need to be greased pretty often or they get noisy. Pull starts are the still the best.
Explain engine braking issue.

From Google , because I couldn't put it any more clearly :
Engine braking occurs when the retarding forces within an engine are used to slow down a motor vehicle, as opposed to using additional external braking mechanisms such as friction brakes or magnetic brakes.
I get that my friend but at eyou saying that the Sprag or one way or whatever you want to call the bearing that allows pedal starting and then engine/drivetrain disconnecting from pedal drive is somehow not worked ng correctly when coming off the throttle or down a hill??
