Re: New to forums and scooting

Yeah, bud, we want nothing to do with that jazz. This ainโ€™t no scooter forum. Scoot that tub somewhere else. Vintage Mopeds only here. Ya know. Mopeds... MOtor & PEDals = MO-PED. Find a scooter forum. Byee

Hopefully you haven't been discouraged by that comment...

As mentioned, we deal with Mopeds. Vintage Mopeds being Low displacement, 2 stroke bikes purpose built with pedals.

Some may dispute, but you're more than welcome to hang around, but any discussion about scooters should be taken to the off topic forum where we would all be more than happy to help and discuss. If anything I highly encourage you to pick up a Moped and see what all the fun is about!

Re: New to forums and scooting

Sorry dude. Woke up early & pissed. But yeah, like Josiah says, buy a moped and come back. Peace.

Re: New to forums and scooting

Try 49cc scoot dot com they are what your looking for

Re: New to forums and scooting

Yet there's a motocompo scooter people are praising? Anyway, I have scooters, mopeds, and full sizing bikes. Two wheels are fun regardless as long as your not a bicyclist lol.

Re: New to forums and scooting

Ya, there is a scooter forum in the works now. Check back for updates.

Yeah when that occurs Iโ€™m going off-line/off grid for I hate China scooters, I hate scooter culture with the exception of derbi or old 2t scooters,

I hate everything about 10 inch scooter/snail bike people because where I live a scooter has the same requirements of a motorcycle and with the new Moped laws they like they lie through their ass to say it to Moped!

If Iโ€™m gonna be on motorcycle Iโ€™m gonna on a Kawasaki 175 to 350cc 2 t Single cylinder maybe a 250-400cc kaw triple or a Harley sportster!

Re: New to forums and scooting

Geez, you veterans ought to know me by now.^^^^ I was totally trolling only because I think we should have a dedicated forum. Why? Traffic. That we are turning away.

Re: New to forums and scooting

So, as stated before this is a moped site. You might want to check out 49ccscoot.proboards.com

I've been building mopeds for ten years. A month ago I came across a derbi predator 2t scooter. It's awesome, it's a 2t, I love it. I've had some success on that site.

On the real though, if you like that scooter, go get a derbi variant. Best of both worlds.

Mopeds rule... You already know.

I wondered .

Kinda hard to tell connotation with only written word . ;)

Re: New to forums and scooting

Not just the motocompo: so many folks have ditched the pedals which makes their ride just a Mo-

I refuse to ever remove pedal power functionality!

I agree with but there are some old scooters that are cool. The old 60s vespa is as cool as they come.

And many MA Veterans own both scoots and peds.

Re: New to forums and scooting

I own both, actually have a pretty cool rare scoot too. Honda eve, only made in japan, guy that was stationed in japan brought it back with him and even has a Japanese license plate still.

Captain Janeway /

I love my Nopeds. My Urbans are great! Some of the old Vespas are nice looking bikes but the Chinese scooter crowd should head over to 49scoot. There are already 4 stroke forums out there. I think this is the only one good 2T info

i usually feel bad for these guys when they receive a harsh response, but telling someone to kill themselves should be an insta-ban in my opinion.

The Eve was sold in the US as the Spree, so minus a few decals and badges you could turn any Spree into an Eve.

Eve used a round headlight so plastics are different, also petcock doesnt have a reserve setting and no cover over the petcock so plastics for the rear are different too. Speedo has no odometer and is kph and also all Japanese writing, the eve requires you to pull a brake to start as well. Horn is a chime rather than a honk like a usa horn. No reflectors on the front fender, different turn signals, different taillight assembly, no kick start, electric only. Different hand controls. I'm sure a few other differences I'm missing (edited)

Thanks for writing all that out. Round headlight is VERY cool

Re: New to forums and scooting

No problem, the eve is a much cleaner looking bike without all the us code bs they had to plaster on.
