Hi,
A question to those of you with 70 cc or more on your Magnum/free spirit/pinto
Have you made any reinforcements to the frame or engine mount? Or other parts of the moped?
Regards
Peter
is that a murray frame?
those engine mounts look different than the two freespirit/magnum style ones.
as long as you don't have the swiss-cheese magnum engine mount, they are usually pretty solid. i've only seen the ones that have a buncha holes in them break.

Close enough, it's a Puch x40 frame, I am putting on a top tank, going for the "magnum" look..
Putting on a 72cc airsal and just wanted to know if I should reinforce the frame somehow
You can box them in.
But make sure everything is dead to nuts first or you're forever gonna run crooked
The frame will be ok it's the swing arm that I have found to be the weak link as they like to twist under load. Look at the MLM puch MAXI super reinforced BLACK swing arm.
