Share your sha...throttle slide

Hey hey! I read thru the sha tuning pages/posts/opinions. Found some helpful ideas. I am interested in crazy Wayne's notches... just no pics for any of the modified slides. Just the stock ones which totally helps.

Please share your modified slides.

I have a garelli with the polini team reed kit. The plug looks nice and chocolatey for my top end but I am stupid boggy off the line with my sha 16/16. I really have to coax the bike into the powerband on the circuit pipe from a stop or even slow roll.

I have just the stock slide in now which I believe should be the plastic #12. I have a few other slides to play around with so I'm not too afraid of trashing one.

This thread comes to mind. Bought one of them, have yet to try it, but you can get them on treats. Or use as a baseline for modifying your own.

Re: Share your sha...throttle slide

I really like the #7 to get rid of the boggy low end. You can see the shapes in the third pic.

Saw it and added one to my cart. Thanks for the link!

Thanks for the suggestion on the #7. I have most of these but was curious about modified ones.

A great resource for SHA tuning via the link below. Graham talks about the effects of the slide cut-away and the emulsion tube for tuning your Dell SHA over the entire throttle range at the end of the article. I find myself always going back to this, it is a fundamental resource. Have fun!

I use it every time I share how to tune a SHA with some one.

Re: Share your sha...throttle slide

Hello there

Could someone with slide "2" and slide "4" tell me how much "2" needs to be grinded to match 4?

Greetings

Honestly, I am sad that the Blog format died out, or maybe it was replaced by Vlogging(?).

I've definitely Come across your blogs, old DeadPed Ryan blogs, and Terry Dean's blogs, filled with good info
