Nice thing about plastics is that new ones can always be formed . ;)

Re: Puch maxi Track toy

Sander. You are my moped hero. Your posts are the best!

i think i cant do that, there out of production for a few years. If i wreck this, i'm going to make something like this,

less plastics, so less weight

haha, thanks :))

Re: Puch maxi Track toy

Hi Sander. Just an off shoot question. Do you work yet? What are you planning to do as a career? Those skills at your age are truely impressive. I'm a Brit living in France and although the moped culture was huge 30 odd years ago, the young guys seem to have lost touch with hands on tuning. The ease of just buying a fast Derbi or Rieju has replaced tuning by trial and error. And the best thing is, you look like you enjoy it, which is the most important. Those plastics and the headlamp fairing transform that Maxi. I was you were closer, I'd love someone like you to work on my mopeds.

Re: Puch maxi Track toy

i'm studying mechanical engineering. i'm working on mopeds sinds i was 11 years old, so in 6 years i have this... :)

Re: Puch maxi Track toy

You have a special gift and probably in support and guidance from your parents. I have been playing mopeds for longer than you, but 2t was not passed down in my genes as it sees to have been with you. Keep up the amazing work. I'm sure we will be buying Sander's aftermarket puch parts someday.

Re: Puch maxi Track toy

Staphorst probably has the biggest Puch Maxi community in the Netherlands so that helps ;)

It looks very nice as usual, good job! I'm interested to see how the swingarm turns out.

Hopefully PSR will start making those fairings again, currently there's a maxi with a Psr fairing on marktplaats but they're asking 1500€ which is just deranged.

How many 'peds do we see that use a steering stabilizer . ;)

You can buy it already

https://www.vdmpuchparts.com/a-60739902/tools/engine-mount-stainless-steel/

Made 10 of them a few weeks ago, VDM is selling them

Re: Puch maxi Track toy

Looks like fun! Following!

Re: Puch maxi Track toy

Yessss I just saw those the other day. It is super tempting as the engine holder I grabbed o ly allows it to be vertical in my vice. Not great for a bench start. Yours is just what is needed! Keep the fun coming!

Re: Puch maxi Track toy

hagons, nice. did you get them sprung for your weight? did the weight of the bike play a role?

Oh snap. Legit stuff right there. I wants one. And now I want my pinto frame back.... damn.

Re: Puch maxi Track toy

What is that front wheel on the pinto tanked contraption, never seen one before.

Re: Puch maxi Track toy

I dunno what that wheel is, but the RHR bikes are fucking sick!

really dig this one as well.

It is a stabilizer to reduce high speed death wobbles. And to make you look 100% badass.

Malossi colors, love it!

Steering damper is cool, but i dont think i will need it, topspeed on most circuits isnt more than 60mph

Re: Puch maxi Track toy

On that pinto I also just noticed the crazy monoshock swingarm. And the cooling fins on the transmission cover. Mind blown.

Re: Puch maxi Track toy

Had seen another e50 bike with the clutch cover extensively modified with a boxy thing welded on for more fluid capacity and cooling. I dont think it was a rhr bike though.

Re: Puch maxi Track toy

Sander Mulder /

I was actualy thinking about this a few days ago

Re: Puch maxi Track toy

Yeah man! That on your tranny with a pull start seems like a nice way to go.

Probably my most expensive engine for now, hope to get it running next week

Picture of the bike with the extra fluid capacity thing on the clutch cover. Not sure who built the bike though.
