Not good news the part the screws down on itself locked up. I tryed everything to remove it.

I knew the threading idea was stupid!

Re: Electronic sequence shifter?

Did you lube it well?

Re: Electronic sequence shifter?

You shouldn’t use the cvt when the engine isn’t running

Re: Electronic sequence shifter?

From what I can see it that it actually torque itself down nothing Is crossed threaded or anything

I did lube and It was all good until I ran the bike....

The bike wouldn’t even move it just reved like crazy. I wonder if this kit is for like a stock set up (edited)

It never is! I’ll be back

Re: Electronic sequence shifter?

I truly believe I picked a motor with to much hp and to high of a stall on the cvt system and the belt spun the inner cheek and torqued the threads down like no one business.

Re: Electronic sequence shifter?

Are the threads stripped or jammed?

Jammed can be fixed

They both can be fixed but I can’t get it apart. I threw it in a vise a used a belt wrench.... nothing. Made a last ditch effort and swung at it with hammer and chisel

It stuck on there! Like un real , I think the only way to remove it, is to use a air powered chisel (edited)

What I don’t understand is why did they go with a worm drive set up

Re: Electronic sequence shifter?

The threaded pieces could come apart I bet if you didn’t go all air chisel on it. You can always weld onto bushings or threaded pieces to loosen shit, or use a torch as well. Damn shame ya broke it

It came broken

Re: Electronic sequence shifter?

I highly doubt it but ok. Maybe youre right but you’re not

Re: Electronic sequence shifter?

Jbot. Get one and show us the true way of the jedi.

Re: Electronic sequence shifter?

If someone buys one for me I’ll do it.

I have enough money to survive but that’s about it right now. No tours til 2022 I bet at the earliest, and without a vaccine I’m not about to go get another job during a fucking plague right now.

Well I know for a fact the fuse was when I got the parcel....

It’s junk, but it’s good junk. I’ll buying more lol

I just need to firgure how to prevent that from happening again. I might try to email them and talk about the issue

I don’t know....

Just make sure U buy all your parts there!

Lol. We've had a dozen on our shelf for maybe 3 years. One of our friends overseas sent them to us pretty cheap. Apparently they were too complicated to install to be widely successful. Remember, these used to be quite expensive. Why would a teenager spend 170 euro for a complex shifter thing when a 60 euro drop in variator performs great? (edited)

Me trying to be serious: Well if I can bring you any assistance I will try to make a descriptive video on how to install it.

I will make sure to put on YouTube on a random account not associated with any of my bs

They really did make it to complex, (edited)

So I got two the fuck around with.

I’m still confused because it says that u turn the screws to control the amount of gears u want. But it doesn’t actually stop you from clicking the button too many times. The less gears you decide to choice the more the motor spins out more ever click.

u just have to remember what gear ur in or ur destroy the starter motor or the part!?

0:40 is the motor acting as the original starter! I think I’m set at the lowest gear setting in the video.

Terbo Speghetti /

Did this ever get figured out? I bought one to play with and mine seems like it couldn't lock up on the threads that move the cheek. They have a negative space for it to just pop over the threads and the spring keeps it in line. It seems like it would have to get some kinda imbalance to get jammed like you described

I’m working on it right now! The problem is there is no way to tell what gear ur in or restricting how many times you can up shift! I think I Over spun the last one (shifted to far) and sieze it or jumped the threads.

I’m buying an electric counter with digital read out that will tap into the shifter buttons so i know what gear I’m in.

Edit: on a Manuel bike you remember what gear your in. you could do that same with this but there is nothing stopping you from trying to grab more gears by accident. (edited)
