Type of [[Batavus]] engine. These engines can be found on Batavus [[Batavus Starflite|Starflites]], [[Batavus HS-50|HS-50's]], [[Batavus HS-50|MoBats]], and [[Batavus Intercycle|Intercycles]].  It seems to be the more common Batavus engine compared to the [[M56]].  It also seems more favorable to modify because it has more "room" for improvement.  The placement of the intake and carb leaves ample space for upgrade.

Type of Batavus engine. These engines can be found on Batavus Starflites, HS-50's, MoBats, and Intercycles. It seems to be the more common Batavus engine compared to the M56. It also seems more favorable to modify because it has more "room" for improvement. The placement of the intake and carb leaves ample space for upgrade.

Belt replacement

As per the Batavus HS-50, page, the M48 engine uses a Gates 9319, Dayco 17320, Goodyear 17321 or metric # 13A0815 belt, available at your local automotive or tractor supply store.
