In 2005 there were appoximately 70 bikes on the ride to Vashon Island.  The 2006 rally drew over 80 bikes to sunny Seattle, and the Mosquito Fleet was banned from riding on Bainbridge Island again by the Bainbridge police department. That is, of course, officially unoffical. In 2007 over 100 mopeds were present and more than 250 miles were covered in 3 days. In 2008 we rode from Seattle to Camano Island and easily covered more than 200 miles.

Blood Drive: A moped rally

The Mosquito Fleet holds a rally bi-annually entitled Blood Drive in Seattle, generally in July-August. Moped Army members and non-members come from around the country to participate.

Blood Drive 1-6 were held annually from 2003-2008. Blood Drive is now held bi-annually to alleviate the rally heavy Moped Army calender year. The Mosquito Fleet now alternates rally years with the Puddle Cutters, in Portland, Oregon. (I.E.: Seattle: 2010, 2012, 2014, Portland: 2011, 2013, 2014)

The 2006 rally drew over 80 bikes to sunny Seattle, and the Mosquito Fleet was banned from riding on Bainbridge Island by the Bainbridge police department. That is, of course, officially unoffical. In 2007 over 100 mopeds were present and more than 250 miles were covered in 3 days. In 2008 we rode from Seattle to Camano Island and easily covered more than 200 miles.
