The Puch Korado was designed by Piaggio after the Puch name was sold to them in the 1990s.

The Korado engine was a modernized and improved version of a normal e50. It had a needle bearing crank, large transfer ports, an angled exhaust port, and a three shoe centrifugal clutch. Some Korados came with a 12v CDI instead of the old style points ignition system. These engines are highly sought after.
